THE PLAYGROUND OF DREAMS

In the Playground of Dreams workshop, children first explored different playgrounds and kindergarten parks—both by visiting them in person and researching them online—to observe what kinds of equipment playgrounds have, how they work, and what principles such as gravity, mechanics, or simple technology might be involved. Together, they discussed their ideas and then designed their own dream playground, creating a shared plan that included everyone’s wishes. They also selected the materials they would use for construction, such as Brio, Lego, wooden blocks, craft supplies, and the required VEX 1‑2‑3 elements, which had to be visible in the final model. Following their plan, the children collaboratively built their playground, practicing creativity, problem‑solving, critical thinking, teamwork, mechanics, programming, and construction skills. The entire process was documented and later presented to partner countries during a joint online workshop. At the end of the activity, all participating countries met on Teams, where children proudly showcased their dream playgrounds to peers from Poland, Slovenia, and Finland.
